Q.) How long will the online course take?
A.) Pre-Filing Credit Counseling
The Pre-Filing Credit Counseling course will take approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes from start to finish. Clients may take as long as they need but they must spend at least 30 minutes in the course.

Pre-Discharge Debtor Education
The Pre-Discharge Debtor Education course has a 2-hour minimum requirement. Clients may take as long as needed but MUST spend at least 2 hours studying the course material before they will have access to the course final exam.

Q.) If I am not able to finish my course all at once, can I come back to it and finish it later?
A.) Your progress is saved automatically. You may log out and come back to it later. Your course will begin again where you left off.

Q.) When will I receive my certificate of completion?
A.) Pre-Filing Credit Counseling Certificates
We guarantee certificates will be issued within one business day** of completion.

After finishing the online class, a certified credit counselor** will review your information. Clients will receive an email from the credit counselor with personalized recommendations and a Financial Analysis.

To complete the course, you must log back into the website to review the Financial Analysis and respond to the credit counselor. Upon completion of the course requirements, you will be issued a Certificate of Completion.

Pre-Discharge Debtor Education Certificates
We guarantee certificates will be issued within one business day** of completion of the course and final exam.

Q.) How much are the courses?
A.) Our pre-bankruptcy counseling fee and online "Pre-Discharge Debtor Education - Personal Financial Management Course" are $19.95 for an individual or for joint filers. There is no additional fee for spouse or issuance of certificates.

Q.) What if I can't afford the cost of the course or?
A.) In order to obtain a fee waiver, and get the course for free, you must meet fee waiver guidelines.

Fee Waiver Policy: The fee is waived in cases where the debtor has income less than 150 percent of the poverty guidelines of the current year, as published by the United States Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) website (https://aspe.hhs.gov/poverty-guidelines). Income documentation from debtor is required prior to fee waiver issuance. We will do a preliminary evaluation to see if you qualify for a fee waiver prior to paying for the course (located as part of the registration in the Payment Page). We ask you to provide us with the number of people in your household, and your yearly gross income.

If you meet the current guidelines based on the information provided, we request that you send us supporting documentation via email at . Acceptable supporting documentation may include: pay stubs, disability or unemployment statements, welfare statement, or last year's tax return. Upon receiving supporting documentation, we will issue the fee waiver within one business day.

Q.) How do I take the classes?
A.) Our courses are available online 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Our credit counselors are available Monday-Friday 8:30 am – 4:30 pm MST.

Q.) What qualifications do your Credit Counselors have?
A.) Our Credit Counselors have at a minimum a Credit Counselor Certification from an accredited third party. Our supervisors and managers have a minimum of 10 years experience in financial services and/or credit counseling.

Q.) Does the classes meet all the requirements needed to satisfy the Pre-Filing Credit Counseling or Pre-Discharge Debtor Education certificate of completion?
A.) Yes. We are approved to issue certificates in compliance with the Bankruptcy Code. Approval does not endorse or assure the quality of an Agency’s services. Your Certificate of Completion will have all the required information that you or your attorney will need for a Pre-Filing Course Certificate of Completion or Pre-Discharge Debtor Education Certificate of Completion.

Q.) What states are the Credit Counseling and Debtor Education classes NOT approved in?
A.) $$$$$Simple Class, Inc. is NOT currently approved in the Alabama, Illinois, Massachusetts, North Carolina and Oregon.
